PUT A BIRD ON IT. The only paper I have on my desk is a map that will soon be on my kitchen wall. I wonder how many functional things are now decorative objects. I have at least three examples in my own flat (Phrenology skull, Paper weight) that are so.  If you haven’t guessed, this is procrastination while I apply for a job I really, really want and therefore trying my hardest to sabotage by talking about my new paperweight.
