This is Dali. I’m not entirely sure if you’ve met her yet.
Last week was enormously busy. I’ve been Interning at The Old Market in Brighton, which I’m really genuinely enjoying. I realised working in an arts organisation isn’t all looking at paintings, watching theatre and performance art before I applied, but it’s really, really nice to be in an environment where you are all passionate about the same thing. I actually have a desk and an email address, which I have never had before, and is therefore a massive novelty. I’ve worked in bars for about 6 years, and I don’t know how I’ll cope not leaving work stinking of beer and watching the sun rise (in the summer at least). I’ve learned about spending an entire day in front of a computer to the point where certain words make no sense anymore. Such as ‘got’. If anyone knows a name for this brain trickery, I’d be much obliged.
Also, I’ll be an Exhibition Assitant at Fabrica for Melanie Manchot’s installation piece Gathering, which examines the behaviour of people in public and our collective identities. AND I’m working at the Brighton Digital Festival for Time’s Up - Stored in a Bank Vault at Lighthouse. Which will be awesome, because spending 80% of my time doing arts stuff is more fun than sitting at home eating bread and watching five seasons of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
These are all the things I am doing while I await funding for my Masters.
(I have also been writing a couple of poems for a reading soon, apologies in advance if they are sprung on you.)

Probably not quite what you’re referring to, but not dissimilar to semantic satiation. Got got got got got got got got got got got got. Also, Dali the cat is well brandished, and named.
